Thanks!

That is what I do as well, but guess what alot of the data is mostly bad news because we (the United States) have done a shitty ass job containing this virus. Just like that new study from SK about kids. It is not good news if we want to reopen schools.

I do try to post positive news about vaccines because I am very hopeful\positive we will have multiple vaccines to choose from.

Yeah we added airbags too and people still get killed in car wrecks every day. I am not being obtuse I am pointing out that you can't have it both ways. Which you have tried to do.

Dirk you have been one of the doomiest of the doom and gloomers. I get it but even your positive posts are couched in tragedy.

Case in point, we lose kids by the 100's every year to the flu. At least in the state of Kansas we haven't lost one to Covid. Yet somehow we are now worried about them? See where I am going with that?

I won't disagree with that, because I am pissed off alot because we aren't doing what is necessary to get back to normal. I will be alot worse if the NFL season doesn't happen so watch out. :-)

Everyone has a breaking point.
Maybe realize that all those crazy Karen's out there screeching about masks are just where YOU will be when your football isn't on TV.

Promise I'll never pee on the floor of a Buffalo Wild Wings if there's no football on.

This is the ticket to getting the country back to "normal" before a vaccine is ready. I'm going to sign up for a trial if I can.

Sure sucks that we have had to wear masks since 1918.

Clearly, "the government" wants us to wear masks to exert control, not because there's a pandemic.

So I was out of town for the 4th and got a text that my uncle tested positive before a routine colonoscopy. He had no symptoms. Both my uncle and aunt stayed quarantined for 12 days when she started developing a cough and lethargy with no fever. They did a pulse oxygen test at home and it came back at 86. They took her to the ER and she tested positive.

She's been there for a few days but is doing well. She's on oxygen and some medicine to prevent blood clots. Chest xrays and blood work are good. She's hoping to be released Monday.

They are both in their mid 60's, obese with medical history. Both have been very cautious with masks when they do go out in public and not going out but they have had family at their place. We would have been there for the 4th if we weren't on vacation.

New Oxford study suggesting herd immunity at 10 to 20%

The idea of cross immunity may explain why some regions do so much better even when mitigation efforts are nearly identical.
