A Danish study on NSAID use in COVID-positive patients did not show an increased risk in mortality. Some of the subgroup analyses showed an increased risk of hospitalization for female patients, but as the sample sizes was underpowered, you shouldn't take that as definitive proof of increased risk.

There are now six key forms of #SARSCoV2 viruses in the world. This study sorts them out, and looks for evidence of biological differences in terms of virulence, contagiousness, and other factors.https://t.co/Xbl8eYf19F

Thanks. I tried reading it but my eyes glossed over but I do find it cool that they were able to id the 6 key strains.

It may also depend on how effective and how long the effectiveness lasts. If its for 6 months, I assume a lot of people would skip it.

Study of Marine recruits finds CoV2 spread occurs despite strict quarantine & enforcement of pub health measures. This has major implications. If transmission occurs in this controlled environment, NPIs imposed upon the public would be even less effective.https://t.co/PlT83qFuGQ

Plus there is a shortage of dry ice, so distribution will be difficult at best.

Definitely going to be challenging.

I had a meeting today and our company will be distributing the vaccines in Missouri. We just bought 50 fridges that can handle the Moderna vaccine but can't handle the Pfizer one. We serve alot of rural areas so this will help get it out to our clients and staff.

So, what changed to cause that massive spike?

The stay-home advisory takes effect at 6 a.m. Monday and lasts 30 days. Chicagoans are urged to leave home only for work, school, medical appointments, groceries, take-out food and pharmaceuticals.

The 10-person limit on meetings and social events also takes effect at 6 a.m. on Monday.

My theory

1. More testing
2. More people congregating indoors due to colder weather
3. Less people caring about masks and social distancing

If the government or private businesses were in charge of distribution, I'd agree. But, they are not, the military is in charge.

I've seen with my own eyes while in the height of the Iraq and Afghan wars, at the same time, the military sorted out the logistics and supply that had to go overseas while fighting those wars.

If they can figure out that, they can figure out how to handle distribution of the vacaccine and the supplies within the homeland.

Shit like distribution shouldn't be difficult. Or atleast not impossible. I don't care if it's difficult, figure it out. Get it done.
