That Jays team was simply far better managed. They finished T3 that season rather than T5 like the 2016-2017 Jayhawks. T3 is all we're asking out of Self and yet he can't even get a program as strong as KU there.

I disagree entirely, coming T3 counts at the end of the season for a lot. Look no further than the NCAA Tournament and KU. If Self had done it a few more times, he certainly wouldn't be looked at as the total failure he is.
