Where did David get the facehugger embryos?
What the **** is up with the black goo? One minute it turns you into weirdo human creature, the next it implants a protoxenomorph in you, and sometimes it's used like a nuke that kills people and leaves their husk in its wake. I know David said it goes for nonbotanous organic life and takes many forms but.... eh, I feel like the way it's portrayed is a reach.
And if David bioengineered the classical xenomorphs we see in the Alien franchise, how the **** do so many of the eggs get on the derelict spaceship on LV-426? And with a fossilized engineer aboard?
I'll say I didn't like James Franco much in this..
Spoiler!
I'm assuming David had the embryos hidden in him as soon as everyone showed up. Probably from his experiments.
I'm not sure what the deal is with the human-xeno vs regular xeno. I think only the facehuggers produce the regular xeno's in humans.
But if I saw correctly, when David uses the weapons on the engineers you can see full-grown xenomorphs coming out of them.
I'm not 100% sure that David engineered the classic xeno. Right now, I think the original ship filled with eggs was just from something going wrong on the engineers transporting them. Maybe that one will get explained in the next movie.
Besides the dumb shit the crew did I actually enjoyed it. Same for Prometheus. I'm probably in the minority, though. Nowhere near as good as Alien or Aliens, but solid. [Reply]
Here are some interesting comments from Scott on the sequel. A little spoilery already:
Spoiler!
"There will be three or four different players coming in to investigate. One of which will be the Engineers arriving back to find their planet decimated. I think those ships come and go on regular intervals. I see them as the gardeners of space. Where we go next is obvious. We’re gonna actually go to the planet. "

I wouldn't have any problems with that but I really don't want to see hordes of xenomorphs like in Aliens. I never liked seeing tons of them getting killed so easily. It seemed to lessen them a little. I prefer the apex predator killing machine from Alien/Covenant. [Reply]

Not to.me, because of the firepower they had to use to kill them [Reply]
Just about 45 minutes into it now, and I so decided to see whats new at Chiefsplanet
An all too familiar band of hapless idiot space explorers chomping on cigars, and otherwise being the exact opposite of what I would expect from futuristic space pioneers... amid stunning visuals
Theres too much bitching to even get into right now, no wonder it went to rental so fast [Reply]

I did, however, just find Aliens on Cinemax while channel surfing, so I'm watching that absolute action masterpiece for the 1,000th time.
Everything that came after the two originals is basically junk
Prometheus and this one were beautiful but disposable garbage IMO... you're enjoying the better movie right now [Reply]

I never even watched the third one. It doesn't exist in my universe. Ripley and Hicks made it back to earth, adopted Newt, got a fat settlement from the company and lived happily ever after. :-) [Reply]

This was going to be one of the first 4k Blu Rays I planned on purchasing [Reply]
