Nzoner's Game Room>****2018-2019 Official NBA Regular season thread****
dirk digler 05:23 PM 10-16-2018
Didn't see anybody starting this thread so I guess I will.

Anti climatic season starts tonight and my prediction is GS vs Boston in the NBA Finals.

First 2 Games tonight on TNT with Philly vs Boston and OKC vs GS. Westbrook is out tonight so that game will be a blowout most likely.

No doubt. Him and Dray did have to cry to a top 10-15 player in history in KD in the parking lot three years ago after LeBron had the greatest Finals series in NBA history. They could never beat him legitimately on their own and never will. This series against the Raptors was even more proof of that.

Go read back the last few pages and note who is putting the asterisk on this title. Just so satisfying to see it after how 2015 went.

And Lebron has 1 ring if it’s not for Kyrie and Ray making clutch 3’s :-)

I mean yeah but you don't know how KD will come back from his Achilles and if they let him go and just re-sign Klay who has a lesser injury, they'll go from a $344mil tax hit to a $0 tax hit from what I read.

Think they re-sign Klay this off-season and Max him out because his injury is easy to come back from relatively speaking these days. They then let KD rehab on his player option and if he looks like he's 80% normal, try to max him out if he wants to stay.

810 was discussing the asterisk on this one and I agree with the point if they repeat then you can take the asterisk off 18-19.

If there's an asterisk on the Raptors title, you gotta put one on the Warriors for 2015 (Kyrie/Love injuries). Also on their titles for 2017 (Kawhi injury) and 2018 (CP3 injury). Basically, the only non-asterisk title in the last five years would be LeBron's 2016.

Whether the Raptors are able to repeat comes down to Kawhi's decision and I still don't think anybody has a clue what he's going to do.

Curry really is one of the most unclutch Superstar level players I've seen in quite some time. Super talented, but goddamn man.

Wasnt 2016 the one where Green got the BS suspension that turned the series?

When you kick people in the balls all playoffs long without repercussion and finally get punished for it, I'd say it's hard to consider that to be a BS suspension.

But let’s suck Lebron’s dick for having a cake walk in an abysmal conference for 8 years.
Jordan needed a two year break after a run of 3. Got railed by Shaq in the process. Loser

My hat is off to Klay for his play during this series, fighting through injury to put up damned good numbers. I even feel for Durant, who just suffered an awful injury at the absolute worst time.

Ironically, these injuries might end up being the best thing that could happen for GS, because now they have an unfinished business/injury excuse that could lead to Durant resigning there with the full max slot and the team competing again in '20-21.
That's alot of coin for a 32 year old coming off an achilles

Exactly. Injuries are a part of the game. It doesn't take away from any teams championship. It is not their fault other teams players get hurt
