Blanco is interesting. Old Cuban. Has decent pop for an 80 grade guy (based on .458 SLG at AA).

When you’re trading a half season of a 6th/7th inning LOOGy, not getting a ton in return.

Are you saying Ned is stuck in 2014/15?

Great start by Sparkman

He has no idea where his pitches are going tonight. That fastball was right down the pipe and Kipnis crushed it.

A little excitement to tonight's game because we're running out an entire lineup of homegrown players and we give up a grand slam before we record an out.

Not quite the entire lineup, Soler isn't one of our own. Everybody else is though.

Perkins does take a ton of walks. I'd have to look up his stats but so far he's been a guy who isn't a great hitter for average but he does get on base to use his speed. He definitely breaks the Royals mold in that way. Usually we get speed guys that just hack away.

Dayton does good work when he zigs when everyone else zags. He's certainly re-dedicated himself to finding speed and defense to play to our park. Odds are all these guys are lottery tickets, so find one with an elite skill like speed and hope one of these guys can turn into a Jarrod Dyson type bench player.

Moore needs to nail the draft each and every year, because it seems pretty clear we're not going to be able to find much talent elsewhere. I'm not sure that's sustainable with how hit or miss draft picks are.
Top 3 pick this year and top 5 pick next year would help.

Lindor’s got to be hitting .900 against us

If Lindor spends his entire career in Cleveland he might hit 100 homers against us.

Keep in mind too that MLB rosters go to 26 in 2020.

Bubic had another good game tonight in Wilmington. Pitched 7 scoreless innings.

In the 2nd half of the season he's now posted a 1.58 ERA with 11 BB/49 K in 40 IP.

Not sure if this helps the Ian Kennedy market. The Marlins traded their closer, their #23 prospect AND a player to be named later for the Twins #30 prospect... although the Twins prospect does seem to be a good hitter. Still, they're the seller and they gave up 3 guys to get him.

Full #Twins/#Marlins deal, per sources: Sergio Romo, Chris Vallimont and a PTBNL from Miami to Minnesota for Lewin Diaz. @MLB @MLBNetwork

Bubba Starling now has an 11-game hitting streak with a solid single up the middle.
