pete, there's 2 out. Duda (and really, most anyone) is toast in a rundown. Why not TRY to score from 3rd there? Bubba maybe could have timed it a little better, but it's still a longshot play where you're hoping for perfect timing or maybe a bad throw.
Anyway, if Bubba stays put, Duda is 99.9% surely out anyway.

/end of lesson

This game’s going nowhere, but Bubba has had quite a night in the field — two excellent catches and a laser throw home to nab Lindor.

Flanagan:

More on Bubba Starling from Statcast: The velo on his throw home for the outfield assist was 100.7 mph. That's the hardest-thrown outfield assist in MLB this season.

You put him, Gordon and Phillips in the same outfield, that's quite the group.

You're such a fucking retard. People that bitch about David Glass being cheap have no fucking clue about what they are talking about. For having one of the smallest markets in the league and will spend if Dayton can field a competitive team. Here's the payroll rank and record by year since 2013.

2013 - $84 mil/21st/86-77
2014 - $98 mil/18th/89-73
2015 - $126 mil/13th/95-67
2016 - $141 mil/14th/81-81
2017 - $148 mil/13th/80-82
2018 - $130 mil/20th/58-104
2019 - $101 mil/23th/39-66

$130 million out of his pocket for 104 loss season. Why in the fuck would you expect Glass to spend more money? Glass has been a good owner and gets a bad rap.

And it doesn't take too much of a dip if it's Whit, Starling and Phillips...

Was nice to finally see a display of his vaunted defense in an MLB game.

Can I hope Starling becomes David Dejesus with defense

@RoyalsFarm: Good morning. Hearing Nick Heath is on his way to AAA Omaha this morning. We’ll let you know if we hear any other corresponding moves in the mean time. Could be a precursor to a Billy Hamilton trade, theoretically.

Damn Bobby Witt in top 10 already that seems crazy to me. Is that typical?

I don't really see how this is actually possible. I would have thought it would be difficult for any player to throw higher than 92-93 mph unless training specifically as a pitcher. But perhaps being able to crow hop and running forward helps more than I think.

It does.

And another outfielder hit 100+ in the past couple days iirc
