Thanksgiving Dinner at My Place:
Harvest Vegetable Platter with Creamy Cucumber Dill Dip
Turkey
Veggies and Bread Stuffing
Apple Pie (homemade)

There was also butternut squash and mashed potatoes and a bread basket of whole grain rolls, cranberry walnut bread and corn bread—the latter two homemade.
Sauvignon Blanc wine, app[le cider and coffee with dessert. Someone also brought a pumpkin pie from the store.

Not sure about dinner yet, but the late breakfast I just polished off was the bomb diggity

4 egg Denver omelette, onions, green peppers, American cheese, hickory smoked ham, topped with diced tomato

Buttermilk biscuits and black coffee on the side... I'm set for a good long while

Another holiday season, another resumption of my seasonal snack addiction.

Wonder if anyone but myself [and my grandpa I learned it from] do this.

Raw green onion from the relish tray, put table salt into the cup of a spoon. Dip the tip of the green onion into the salt and munch absent-mindedly like you would chip and dip, or veggie'n'hummus.

Not bad, relatively, from a caloric standpoint. But not great for digestion [or breath odor] longterm.

Cross-posting from the sous vide thread.

Far from my best plating, but it tastes good.

Sous vide pork loin roast (with rosemary, shallot, and garlic). Prepared the peas with a shallot/garlic/white wine sauce. The compound butter on the pork is rosemary/garlic.

Leftovers from last night, and I still cant wait

Fried, flour breaded bone-in pork chops with a simple spice mix of paprika, black pepper and garlic powder

Chicken flavored rice pilaf with fresh diced carrots, mushrooms, onion and frozen peas... put a parmesan/romano mix on the rice, a little hot sauce on the chops, and oh yeah

I cooked a pork chop in my slower cooker last night with onions, potatoes and carrots in chicken broth, dijon mustard, paprika and garlic with a touch of white wine vinegar ( to draw calcium out of the bones) and one tsp of sweetner ( Steveia). It came out braised just needed a fork to cut it. The bone got stripped clean due to how tender they were. It was great, and I was worried out the spices which I made up.

That genuinely sounds fantastic, how long did it all cook?

Salmon patty, asparagus and KFC mac and cheese. I always heard KFC had good mac and cheese? Meh, I think I have had better out of the box and not even close to home made.
