There is a substantial excerpt on The Ringer from a book about the Astros' development system and how their methods, initiated and delegated by Luhnow, of course, have totally lapped most of MLB.

Makes you hate Mozeliak even more.

According to the Braves announcers the Cubs are signing Kimbrell to a multi year deal.

Hope his fucking arm falls off. :-)

Kimbrel deal with #Cubs will be three years and close to $45M, sources tell The Athletic.

Cause and effect or just happenstance?

Since being hit on the wrist May 22nd (11 games) Paul DeJong is slashing .056/.227/.283 (36 AB, 0 XBH)

Mo I’m there, not yet on Schildt. But, we were sold that he was going to be a different manager. Was going to use stats, the new baseball information to help make decisions.

Instead we just get the same lineups, players have to fail for weeks before any change. Pitching Waino was inexcusable. Carp staying at the top of the lineup batting .200 for 33% of the games. Running Wacha out there.

This stubborn Matheny BS that he has to trust his guys. :-)

Hudson has actually been pitching pretty good for the last 4-5 games.

Absolutely.

We need to continue to whip up on the Cubs this weekend or you can just fold the tent.
