About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

The writers have to make Dany look good because her decision making and leadership skills have been less than spectacular before season 7. GRRM and the show writers haven't really shown her learning from her mistakes like say Jaime did, he even has referenced Whispering Woods quite a few times.
So to make Dany look good her advisers have to look dumb. [Reply]

I didn't say they accomplished their goal, just what the goal is. Even in the books Dany has the charisma and leadership skills of a wet fart. [Reply]
Been reading a variety of leaks. I have no idea if any one of them is real (prolly not...) but there are a lot of creative people out there. I've seen four completely unique and unrelated descriptions of the battle so far. [Reply]

Nothing to tell. If one of them is a legit spoiler I'd have no way to know it.
One thing I do know. The episode's director in an interview said the battle is all survival horror. So it's gonna be a bit different from what we've seen in the past battles. [Reply]

they have one spoiler or a possible one in the HBO trailer. There is a shot of Dany and Jon talking in a room. That scene has not occurred yet. It’s not a spoiler but in case you don’t recognize where that scene is taking place, I’ll spoil it.
Spoiler!
It’s the same exact room where Tyrion and Dany had a conversation in season 7, in Dragonstone. Same exact room. So either both survive or the scene is some kind of flashback. I don’t think many people expect either to die in episode 3, but to put that scene in the trailer that we now know is post episode 3 or a flashback.
Okay, who dies tonight? No spoilers or answers based on spoilers please....
Podrick dies protecting Brienne
Brienne dies because she has become everything she wanted, a knight
Greyworm his arc is finished
Theon dies protecting Bran
Delorean sp? Lord commander
Tormond it’s his time
Layna Mormont heroic death
Safe:
Jon
Danerys
Tyrion
The hound
Arya
Sansa
Varys
Jamie [Reply]

There aren't any verifiable spoilers as far as I know. It hasn't leaked anywhere. Anything billed as a spoiler is most likely fake.
Also, HBO has been actively pushing fake spoilers for a year,. including flying actors onto location for scenes they aren't a part of. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if they put misdirection of some kind out in both the Aftermath trailer and the episode 3 trailer.
I've never felt such a weird combination of anticipation and dread for a tv show.
I have no idea who lives or dies.
My guesses are still Pod, Gendry, Jorah, Beric, Edd, plus Gilly, Missandei, Lyanna.
I'm pretty sure they'll surprise us somehow. Something nobody sees coming. [Reply]

Yep. As I mentioned a couple hundred posts ago, the only thing I'm fairly confident about is that some sort of major curveball is on the way. [Reply]
