It's really nice they signed someone like him to fill the leadership void left after Berry and Houston. I know some of you scoff at that notion, but this is exactly the type of player you'd want given the number of fresh faces we're going to have on that side of the ball.
He immediately becomes my favorite player on the defensive side of the ball.

We gave Berry 40mm because he was coming off an All Pro season, had been named NFL Comeback Player of the Year, and was a future Hall of Fame safety.

I don't scoff at shit. To hit that bullseye right off the bat is fucking huge. Now, if we can find a premium player with some leadership ability for the Linebackers, I'll be happy as a little girl!
I hope Hitchens can step up in this new defense, we need that.

Collins recorded 125 tackles, 13 pass breakups, five interceptions, four sacks and one touchdown in 16 games, earning him first-team All-Pro selection.
Mathieu called himself a hunter in Spagnolo’s latest scheme. “The safety position in this defense, in particular, is the position you want to play,” Mathieu said. “He’s lining everybody up, he’s the most active guy on the field, so that kind of helped ease my decision. Anytime I can get around the football or close to it, I just feel like (I have) superpowers.”
