I just hope they don't rush it. Allow his patella and ankle to heal fully, so that when he comes back, he's beast mode Mahomes.
The last 3-4 games I was watching him throw and he was never fully planting his feet. Granted, he's one of the few who have such a strong arm, he can get away with it, but it was definitely affecting his accuracy. [Reply]
Huge show ahead on THE NFL TODAY on @TheNFLonCBS. Latest on Patrick Mahomes, the trade deadline and Antonio Brown. And we go behind the scenes with Deshaun Watson to check out his passion for fashion
Don’t like this. I love that Pat is a warrior, but this is a classic case of needing to rest. I’d rather see Pat feeling much better than trying to go out there at 60%.
Maybe it’s just seeing guys like KD and RGIII playing vulnerable and getting hurt worse that scares me. [Reply]

Here's a question - since there is no ligament damage in Pat's knee, it basically comes down to swelling and pain management, correct? If Pat feels strong, passes whatever battery of tests they have for him and is officially cleared, why would we sit him as a "precaution"?
I'm thinking he sits for the Packers (suits up as the backup?) and plays against the Vikings. Would any of us be shocked if that happened? [Reply]

Chargers game at the very earliest.
Kind of this — though if we drop one or two with Moore I would just hold him out until after the bye and let him heal. If there isn’t a chance we’re going to be able to host the Pats what really is the difference? [Reply]

The kid was walking comfortably by himself just minutes after it happened. He then gave the speach to the team in the locker room and the next day he does and MRI and he's told there was no damage done to his knee. I know we're all concerned and don't want him to rush but come on man...do you really think the organisation would allow him to play hurt? No chance. If he's back in seventeen days to face the vikings then it would be because the doctors cleared him. We've just got to wait and see. KD was getting pushed by the media and GS to play when we all know he shouldn't have...no-way Andy and co make that error imo. [Reply]
