Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs targeted, but by who?
Hog's Gone Fishin 05:40 AM 12-01-2018
5 weeks left in the season and then playoffs. The release of the video was a deliberate conspiracy to sabatoge the Chiefs season knowing this would be an automatic 6 game exemption. With the underhanded things the Patriots have been caught doing in the past, it would make a person wonder.

The ONLY thing it takes to make this happen is owners and officials; NO ONE ELSE need be involved. And shit, it makes for better drama that way. Coaches, fans, and players blowing their stacks when these officials make the calls...:-)
You couldn't hide it or write it any better.

Billionaire owners are not risking everything they have by conspiring with part time refs in an effort to win vegas bets on the side. JFC, apply just a little bit of critical thought. It's not worth the risk. They would never entrust their fortune to someone else like that, especially not a ref that makes 1% of what they make. That would never happen. Billionaires have plenty of ways to increase profits without risking everything in a conspiracy. The other owner billionaires aren't going to allow the NFL to favor specific teams at the expense of their own. Someone like Jerry Jones isn't going to allow his team to get assfucked for decades when his franchise brings the NFL double the profit of half the other teams in the league. Part time refs wouldn't keep quiet, especially when one of them was already fired this year for incompetence. Billionaires didn't get to be billionaires by gambling. Jesus, there's a thousands reasons why it would be impossible.

You say "You couldn't hide it or write it any better." yet at the same time want to act like it's perfectly evident to anyone that's paying attention that the system is rigged. Yet you're somehow incapable of seeing any contradiction in that. Idiot.

Kareem Hunt screwed himself and the Chiefs, and some schmo at the hotel in Cleveland profits because of it.
I agree with most here. You're right about this not being part of an NFL agenda on the whole. However, I can't rule out one team having a hand in it in some manner, especially if that team could benefit down the stretch, and playoffs, by KC losing Hunt. The timing is just too incredibly "coincidental."

LOL, no. Don't be silly. Only months ago the dope was claiming the NFL was being controlled by the Jesuits. This entire thread is an embarrassment.

So did the billionaire owners share their secrets with you at the last billionaire owner club meeting? :-)

THAT was silly... But the fact remains that he did make his 2016 Raiders prediction, and this season's Chargers prediction, before each season.

The video at issue is the BODY CAM video, not the hotel video.

The hotel video - the actual evidence against Hunt - was never given to the NFL.

The NFL obtained a copy of the video OF THE POLICE REPORT, not of the "assault".

"Information regarding the police report, 911 calls and body camera video from the February 2018 incident involving Kareem Hunt has been posted to GovQA under Trending Topics."
"Following an internal review, it has been determined that in February 2018 a member of the Cleveland Division of Police provided a copy of the police report involving the February 10, 2018 assault incident at The 9 to a representative from the National Football League."
"Body Camera Footage has been moved to the dropbox link under information on the left side of the page"

Just download the body camera files from the Cleveland Police Dropbox and see what the NFL got in February.
After that "somebody" must have thought it would be a good idea to further investigate the matter and see what they find.
I doubt those security cams videos are being archived for more than a few days, maybe a week or two, so, no matter how the video leaked, who bought it must have kept it in a drawer for some months.
Then, when they realized KC would not mess up the season in the second half this year, as a lot of people thought they would - including all Pitts & Pats fans and perhaps not only fans - "somebody" decided it was time to release the video.

I don't believe the NFL is involved in this because the last thing they need is another NFL player involved in an assault.
So who will benefit from Hunt being released from KC at this point ?
Who knows...

Chargers went 6-1 to finish last year. Had lots of good young talent like Gordon, Bosa, Ingram, Williams, etc. Not to mention a top 5 QB in Rivers. Chiefs were starting an unknown at QB coming into the season. Chargers were hot to end the year last year and were young overall with a stud QB. Of course they were going to be looked at as a possible Super Bowl contender this year. Not on here because CP has a warp view on any AFC West team. But the Chargers on paper were a legit Super Bowl team out of the AFC coming in. It's not fucking conspiracy to get them anywhere like the fucking dumb pieces of shits come up with in their head.

1) Bets on the side? Who the fuck said anything about that? You're not looking at the long term, big picture. This has nothing to do with short term gains, and EVERYTHING to do with expansion and global market share. In case you forgot, the NFL is a BRAND.
Now, the acquisition of additional funds to grow the brand may have been in practice back in the 60's and 70's, possibly the 80's too, but they've LONG since moved away from that. Thanks to successful branding and licensing, it's hardly necessary for the owners to slum in Vegas.
That said, there IS a new influx of online, legal gaming these days, and I'd be VERY interested to see a rundown on how many games have covered the spread over the last say 10 years, vs. those that have not.

2) Not on an ongoing basis, anyway. You can't turn the 0-14 Buccs of yesteryear in to a Super Bowl dynasty in the course of one off season, it doesn't work like that. You CAN however take the "hot hands" in the league and collectively decide that it's better for the league overall to have stars and winners in prime time games than the Herm-led KC Chiefs who didn't SNIFF a Monday night for YEARS.( Oh wait! that's EXACTLY how they do that shit! )
The point is, you have to bring something to the table to begin with, and that's why we HAVE the cap and this "parity" of sorts that allows the 0-14 Buccs and the shitty Herm-Chiefs to get things turned around, and have an opportunity to duke it out with the Krafts on Monday night.
So to your point, Jerruh has to bring a winning, marketable product to the table before he can get any serious consideration from the other owners in regards to who is going to be marketed, and who will be filling in the gaps.

3) I've already detailed the referee program and just how VERY easy it would be to keep them quiet because you're not corrupting the ENTIRE goddamned staff, so I'm not going over that again.

The only true variable in this league is talent. Talent in the coaching sector, talent in the player sector, and the uneven balance of FAR more untalented folks that talented ones.

But you can take the inaugural 4-12 Jaguars and 7-9 Panthers and get them both into the play-offs in only their second seasons. :-)
