I said, IT WOULD BE NICE BUT I don’t expect sh*t because.......Chiefs. If they could fix that issue, then they may have a chance against the New England’s and Pittsburgh’s of the world.

Watching this team get out coached in the playoffs time and time again is tiring as a fan. I wouldn’t get caught up with stats so much. They don’t tell everything. It’s much better to pay attention to the intricacies of the game instead.
The defense didn’t allow a Tom Brady TD and stifled the NE offense overall in the 2nd half.
They dominated the Eagles offense with Wentz.
They allowed less than 20 points in both games against the Steelers.

And we did this with serious talent issues on defense. What else do you want?

Chiefs defensive averages in the last three games:

306 total yards (4th)
231 pass yards (20th)
76 rush yards (2nd)
13.6 points (1st)
27% third down conversions allowed (2nd)
3 turnovers (1st)

Big Baller Bob is back. Leading these bitches to the playoffs.

Show some respect.

Forced NINE turnovers in those three games. Shut down the run.

Bob Sutton is a hero.
The offense scoring, protecting the ball and controlling time of possession sure helped the cause

That's because KC offense>DEN offense

Denvers offense turns it over a lot and fails to move the chains

KC's offense almost never turns it over and is capable of moving the chains

See all the bullshit about wanting to cut Peters. If they would be more focused on getting better vs making sure guys like DJ are sent off on a high note. We might fucking actually win something meaningful.
Or even worse, they absolutely will NOT embrace the philosophy of CONSISTENCY.
I don't give a FUCK if Sutton looked like the Stephen Hawking of D-Coords for two games in a row. It's goddamned idiocy to embrace and think like that!

STOP.

Consistent as in being top 10 in points allowed every year but 1? Or allowing 20 or less points at home all year?

Good ****ing God. Sutton has coached his ass off.

Frank ****ing Zombo
Daniel Sorenson
Philip Gaines

These mother****ers are NOT starting NFL players. You need to realize that the real person at fault here is John Dorsey. And thank ****ing GOD Veach got us Reggie Ragland or we’d be trotting out some horrible ****ing Dorsey asshole like Josh Mauga or Ramik Wilson.

He didn’t do jack shit to replace DJ or Tamba, he didn’t find our 2nd ILB, he didn’t completely fix our 2nd CB problem after THREE tries. And that mother****er gave Tamba the goddamn routing number so we couldn’t sign anyone in FA.

THAT was the goddamn problem.

I agree, Dorsey created all the defensive problems. Parker, Jones, Peters were good finds but the contracts to all those linebackers came at the cost of other skill positions especially at corner.

So are you admitting that the offense not getting first downs has a negative impact on the defense? That is a180.

Oh no.

Oh FUCK no.

We're NOT pissing up the "talent tree" in this fucking discussion. Of course you want good, great, and premium talent, but that does NOTHING to stave off the foundation of "bend don't break" which SUCKS-SUCKS-SUCKS, and has NO FUCKING PLACE in Kansas City Chiefs defensive football.
That is SHIT defense which should have gone the way of Peeholi when he was righteously shit-canned.
Sutton and his 3-4 panty dance can GTFO.

Have You thought that maybe it’s “bend don’t break” because the talent is being so heavily limited? What are we good at?

Well, last year it was turnovers and run defense was complete ass. Teams marched down the field bc our shitty ILB play was god awful, but couldn’t score in the red zone bc our secondary was good.

This year we don’t have much of a pass rush. That equals bend but don’t break.

We weren’t “bend don’t break” much of 2013 bc he had great talent until Houston and Tamba suffered injuries right before the playoffs leading to Colts comeback (Flowers also knocked out of the game).

Watch the Patriots and Eagles game. That wasn’t “bend don’t break” like the rest of the season.

Speaking of, I’ve seen Sutton use a shit ton of different schemes to try to fix this defense. Cover 2, single high, nickel, dime, 3 man zone, blitzing, bear front, rushing the DE’s from the outside.

I don’t want to hear this lame bullshit about a new DC when Sutton is using every scheme known to football and none of them were working during periods of time.

It’s clearly a talent issue.

So when the offense shit the bed the whole month of November and everyone including that ass clown was blaming the defense it really was in theory the offenses fault for going full smith?

Sutton has been fine. He's been inconsistent this year and when bad has been really bad. Just because he's been bad this year doesn't mean he's been bad in the past. He matched into the playoffs with ramik and Terrance Smith at ilb, a cb they picked off of waivers, and 50 injuries on the DL. In 2014,we had a top 10 defense missing dj and berry.

Soooo.....

When you're sporting a minimum of FOUR+ pro-bowl and all-pro players on your defense, filling the gaps with players that can be classified as "competent" just isn't going to get it done?

This defense needs to completely re-tool for an aggressive 4-3 which boasts at minimum one monster rushing DE, one monster rushing OLB, one elite CB, one elite to above average Safety, and a box-killing ILB.

Those very minimum and simple components, several of which are ALREADY IN THE CAN, can be used by a new and aggressive-minded D-Coord to create a Chiefs defense that can wipe this last 2 decades of bullshit off the map, and make this league remember why facing a Chiefs defense in Arrowhead Stadium is a dangerous proposition.

You're free to think to think otherwise, but I contend that the Chiefs have not played "Chiefs Defense" for AT LEAST 18 years now.

IMO we were getting it done as early as last year. I would consider holding the Steelers potent offense to 18 points is getting it done, but the shit offense has to score more.
I can’t blame that playoff game on Sutton.

As for the 4-3, we’ve use those looks. We basically used a 4-3 a ton vs the Raiders and it worked beautifully.

Can’t see us going to it full time. Reggie Ragland is probably our best young player on defense and he is absolutely not a fit for a 4-3. He was horrible in that role in Buffalo. Would hate to switch and waste such a good young talent.
