Give him a year on the PS to get used to NFL game and maybe he is your backup IOL next year. That is probably going to be a need next year as we are going to lose at least one of Thuney, Creed, and/or Smith.

It's been a while since I've been a bit disappointed with Veach's 7th round pick(s). :-)

Can't draft a Pacheco and Jaylen Watson every year.

Chiefs selected Holy Cross OG CJ Hanson with the No. 248 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Hanson (6'5/300) was an unranked prospect out of Depaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey in the 2019 recruiting class and though he got a late start to the game of football, he finished his five-year college career with 38 starts at right guard. This earned him all-conference honors in three seasons, on top of his status as a team captain and All-American honors in 2023. Hanson struggles with many of the deficits facing prospects coming from a lower level of competition. While he sports a projectable frame for the interior, he will likely need to go through body recomposition at the least and could stand to add quite a bit of weight. Though his tape reflected many reps where his fundamentals were solid, he was able to win fairly often with sheer physical superiority. Hanson moves well for his size, though it’s much less impressive considering his lack of ideal size. Nevertheless, his 94th percentile RAS is backed-up on tape as he is able to out-angle defenders with ease. Questions remain as to whether Hanson will be able to anchor down against NFL caliber defensive linemen. He projects well as a project for the nutrition staff at the pro level, but could mold himself into a serviceable starter once he spends some time in the weight room.

If that’s the case, a great depth pick.

It's interesting that we keep throwing the word nutrition out there where in the past we'd focus on strength and conditioning

But man at this point pay the moon for the best possible nutrition staff

Hanson can contribute right away if he is tasked with being the guy who stays at the scene to exchange insurance information.

Man, if that doesn’t bring a tear to your eye, you have no heart. I have no idea how he will turn out, but I’m rooting big time for this kid.
