In regards to the Spanish Flu, the cytokine storm is happening in children with Covid we just have better medical treatments now to identify and stop it. That is what the multi system inflammatory syndrome is caused by.
What % of children are having this issue? Give me a number.

So what is the point of saying heart disease isn’t contagious when it’s compared to COVID but not saying it when compared to deaths from war?

Well my son just tested positive. Thirty eight and in good health but is running 104 temp and coughing his lungs out.

Thoughts and prayers appreciated.

Can't give you a % but it is small, like maybe 100 or under that have been diagnosed with MSIS

There’s lot we don’t understand about Covid in kids. We shouldn't trivialize observed or possible risks. Schools have been closed; many kids deliberately sheltered from infection. In coaxing schools to open it’s imprudent to argue Covid is harmless, or milder in kids than flu 3/3 pic.twitter.com/JhoIOBTrlF

Hope your son gets better and you might buy him an oximeter if he doesn't have one.

Get him a pulse oximeter and do not delay seeking medical advice if symptoms worsen.

Because heart disease isn't contagious. Neither are car crashes.

People here tried to use those examples as why we shouldn't mitigate, because we don't for them and they kill just as many people. It is then pointed out that they are not contagious.

Again, the comparison to war dead is just that: "Holy crap. This thing has killed more Americans in two months than Vietnam did in 10 years."

Neither are war deaths, so why compare? People were using Vietnam to further their argument to do more on clamping things down. Why can they use none contagious deaths for their argument but not the other side?
