It appears as if we have pretty solid immunity with T cells and antibodies so I’m hopeful
So what’s “lasting immunity” from those do you think? 6 months, 12 months?

As long as you don’t get massive mutations in antigen parts of this thing you’ll likely always have “some immunity”. People still have immunity to SARS 1 17 years later.

It may not be full blown not get it immunity but I’m guessing more along the lines of get it and slight inconvenience illness kinda immunity

People get to caught up in influenza things but these are a lot different

So this is basically saying people with no time around kids and their sniffly coronavirus colds have a higher incidence of severe infections.

Interesting

A doctor in Alabama was on TV the other night and he had a patient test positive in March and got really sick for 2-3 weeks and then got better.

Then in June he got covid again and tested positive. They also tested him for antibodies, and he had those, but he kept getting sicker and sicker and last week he died of covid.

Luckily we haven't heard many of these stories yet but we are only in month 6.

I would also caution you guys about that stuff being solely a Covid thing. That happens with damn near every viral infection. It’s not necessarily uncommon.

So always take anecdotal stuff with a grain of salt

That sounds wonderful and I hope you’re right.

Thanks for your info.

I would take everything I say very lightly. I am by no means an expert. It’s been a while since virology and immunology

Damn near every country that had this under control is now having issues. Fuck.

I’m hoping we are nearing some immunity. 2020 owes us a break

I agree mostly but this was his doctor so I am going to put a higher value on that information. Plus no one has any idea at this point how long immunity does last.

There was also a "doctor" a while back claiming he treated everyone successfully with hydroxycloriquine.

Makes sense. My kids are 5 and 2, and the last 4 years I have never gotten sick so damn often. I'm sure my antibodies are on steroids.

Yeah we have 7 and 5 and 10 months. It’s always something at our house

You would think hospital workers would be really immune to this but that doesn’t seem to be the cases., although we take more precautions at work than at home with kids but we do get exposed to pretty much everything.
