The idea is that the initial intake amount matters as to how bad your symptoms are.

If this is the case it seems that wearing a mask actually DOES help you if you still get it.

Here's a study:

The doctor who discovered it in China died. He looked fairly young and healthy. Could be from such a massive dose.

We have had 30 cases 29 resolved/1 death(125kpop /18k tests)no positives in the last 13 days , with cottages being open and more out of town people coming through I was expecting more since we didn't have a mandatory masks, which they decided to implement this week for indoor public spaces. with phase 3 and Arenas now opening technically we should see a bump in numbers.

I haven't heard about false positives up here and nobody is doing any antibody testing that I know of .

I hope all these states start to flatten but it is going to be hard to get a real sense of what is going on because of the complete shit show for testing. For example Arizona seemed to be flattening but today they reported 3500 cases and 134 deaths. Florida can't be really trusted either but they did finally get under 10k cases today.

I think Finland reversed courses on masks and starting recommending them even outdoors in April and Sweden still doesn't recommend I think.

I don't understand how the testing/reporting can be all over the place especially 7 months in.

When the feds say, "eh, you guys figure it out," it's difficult to have a cohesive approach to testing and reporting across states.

I get that part but it seems like nobody has gotten it right you assume one place with have gotten there accidentally and would think others would have followed.

Everyone hails South Korea for their testing and yet they had serology reports come out that they were catching 1 in 10.

This fucker is just tough.

Is it acceptable for people in surge States like AZ to be waiting 10+ days for results for well over a month now?

It has been a month since people have had to wait for fewer than 10 days to get their tests back.

It speaks to how backed up the labs are.

There are a few countries that have gotten it right, like Vietnam, SK, Japan, Taiwan.
