Probably had nothing to do with them playing today.

Oh yeah? Iowa State is loaded at guard, that's why they were ranked. We should have had Malou at forward as one of our best players, but he decided to enter the draft after Juco instead(then got hurt and not drafted). The guy who was supposed to be the next best forward has grade issues didn't make it to Iowa State until semester and they decided just to RS him. The current two transfer forwards are taking longer than they had hoped to mesh with the team, And just aren't as good as we could have had. [Reply]

I'm aware of all of that. I'm also aware that KU hasn't blown anybody out all season for a reason. They play down to their competition and don't guard well enough at all. [Reply]

First half belonged to Jayhawks, second half, overtime, and final score, All ISU (unfortunately). Didn't look like Self had his guys ready to play after halftime. [Reply]

Defense wasn't particularly good in the first half either. Offense did enough to carry them, though. Lost focus after that (as this team has been prone to do all season) and never got it back. This is just the first time it has come back to bite them after a number of close calls. [Reply]

They are better than their record. Aren't you an Iowa fan? Because Iowa State is ranked higher than the team in first place in the B1G in BPI, KenPom, and Sagarin rankings.
I'm not saying this is the Morris, Kane, Ejim, and Niang team we had a few years ago, but they are better than 8 losses. Defense is much better, just need the forwards to gel with the team and get a few rebounds so we can use our guards. [Reply]
