So I said before, 45 of the last 50 Stanley cup winners have ranked in the top 10 or better in goals against throughout the regular season. Pittsburgh is the exception because 3 out of their 4 Stanley Cup wins have had goals against ranked below the top 10. My statement stands correct and is backed up by facts Bearcat.
Ah... well, it's weird, but ultimately doesn't mean much. Those early teams had Recchi, Coffey, Lemeiux, Jagr.. and definitely doesn't mean they're overly lucky, when you're talking about all rounds being 7 game series. [Reply]
At the beginning of the season I thought, if the Leafs were close to a playoff spot at the end of the season I'd be satisfied. Now I've watched 3 OT playoff games against the President Trophy winners and 2 wins for the Leafs. (All the pundits said the series would be over in 3).
Gravy. It's all gravy at this point. [Reply]

Yeah, the media was all in on the Caps.... I figured the Leafs would win one, thought maybe two.... but, this is of course crazy. Toronto could own the Atlantic for years. It's been a great series, glad it's looking like it'll be a long one. [Reply]
Tanner Kero looks completely lost... at one point he headed behind the net in the offensive end while the puck was headed in the opposite direction... and when he's anywhere near the puck, he clearly doesn't want anything to do with it. [Reply]

Those Pens team were powerhouses.
Nobody could match them on paper during those years.
That was just too much of a high octane offense that compensates for an average defense I guess?
You score 4 goals on Pitt, they'll score 6 or 7. [Reply]

Crazy how it's 2-1 Leafs.
They didn't get much consideration before this series.
The way they're playing, this is going to 6 or 7 imo. [Reply]
