Nzoner's Game Room>*****Official 2017 NHL Playoffs Thread With Contest*****
CaliforniaChief 07:44 AM 04-10-2017
I thought it would be cool to have a thread for the best postseason in sports, the NHL Playoffs.

Even though my Kings are out, I love watching the playoffs and wish the best to all of you with your teams.

Here's the link for the bracket predictor. https://bracketchallenge.nhl.com/leagues/chiefsplanet

The password is Lonewolf and I hope we can get some of you in there with a bracket. Enjoy!

:-) i was at the game. It was fucking electric and there were like 80 shots combined. Not sure you are good at watching the sport.

Jake the Snakes turnaround has been incredible. Wild should have had four goals and the Blues hit like 5 posts. Not sure if he watched the wrong game or something :-) Jake has easily erased eight goals already in this series with highway robbery

:-) Wild fans were bowing down at Allen. They are good peeps too.

What a disheartening loss for the Jackets. Up 3-1 at home and then to lose in overtime? Oof...don't think they come back from this.
I'm usually pleasantly surprised at how well NHL teams bounce back from such things (like giving up the 3-1 lead)... my gut reaction is usually 'the next game could be 7-0', but sure enough the next game is just as competitive as any other playoff game.

That said, it would be some crazy shit for the Penguins to lose 4 straight after playing so well in the first few games.

And what about UNO star Jake Guentzel. :-)

The 2nd period officiating was about as get as it gets. 4 or 5 pretty bad calls or misses, but I think they'll have a hard time explaining how a guy gets hit in the face and bleeds all over the ice, and you let the other team stay on and score.

I am a penguins fan because you were sure to watch them when you were my age growing up. They played Zero defense and had awesome scorers all over the place.

Simply being down on the ice wouldn't stop play, and at least from the camera angle, it wasn't obvious he was bleeding all over the ice until he got up, which is about the time the Pens scored... two Jackets even skated by without a second thought, one being a couple seconds after it happened.

It was clear he got clocked in the face with a puck. And then he laid down clearly unable to move. Play has stopped for far less. It's delaying the inevitable because the Pens are a much better team. But the 2nd period was lobsidedly bad officiating. If that's Crosby on the ice, the whistle blows immediately.

Grew up a Flyers fan and went to school at U Pitt surrounded by pens fans. I hate them as much as the donx and raiders. Wouldn't mind seeing crosby take a nice big hit to the chin.

I'm pretty impressed the way Edmonton bounced back from Game 1. To shut out the Sharks in San Jose the way they did was pretty sweet.

The only thing not working for Edmonton is Zach Kassian's lamb chops. What is that?

So I said before, 45 of the last 50 Stanley cup winners have ranked in the top 10 or better in goals against throughout the regular season. Pittsburgh is the exception because 3 out of their 4 Stanley Cup wins have had goals against ranked below the top 10. My statement stands correct and is backed up by facts Bearcat.

Oilers and Leafs, you're not supposed to be able to do this shit in the playoffs. :-)

Fun games so far tonight.
