I'm so happy that the Leafs won....Big Leafs fan here. I honestly didn't think they were gonna pull that off.
Washington didn't have the killer instinct. They failed to close the game. They had a 5-on-3 for 2 minutes and didn't score. They even had another powerplay after that;after the Leafs took a delay of game penalty and didn't score. Those were their opportunities to bury The Leafs but the Caps failed to do it. Great penalty killing for the Leafs. Those were momentum shifters and the turning points of the game imo. [Reply]

Honestly, we looked like shit but Elliot looked worse and that's how we won.....OOF.
The Ducks have to be the favorite out of the West with Chicago teetering. That's a solid team with a lot of depth and star power. Nice win last night.
On a non-related note that nobody other than Kings fans care about, I'm intrigued by the fact that John Stevens hasn't been named head coach yet. Blake was zeroed in on him last week as the only person he was looking at. The fact that he hasn't been named yet indicates to me that they might be moving in another direction. And really, since Stevens is a defensive-minded coach (as I understand it), I think it would be a rough sell for a team that is so goal-starved. [Reply]

How do you feel about Luc Robitaille as President and Rob Blake as the GM?
IMO, it's a bit much. You can look to Steve Yzerman, (GM TB) and Brendan Shanahan, (Pres. TOR), as successful examples of former players filling these type of roles, but, the list of failures is a long one. Joe Sakic, (GM CO), and Trevor Linden, (Pres. VAN), are 2 prime examples that are still employed. [Reply]
I'll be in the house as STL tries to break out the brooms...
Which likely means a 4-1 Minnesota win.
I'll stay this - if the Blues can come out tonight and take care of business, I'll become a believer again. They've lacked the killer instinct in years past. [Reply]

While down 2-0, they've not lacked any killer instinct. [Reply]

Probably finish up 4-0 at this point. Lackluster performance thus far. [Reply]

Interesting news out of Barffalo. The Sabres have fired head coach Dan Bylsma. This comes after Jack Eichel allegedly said that he wouldn't re-sign with the Sabres if Bylsma were still the coach.
