Could mean something, could mean nothing, but it sure looks good from where I'm sitting...

This may be the year that it's easiest to part ways with Smith, but I'll bet you anything they keep him on, try to move Foles, and look for a late-round QB to fill Foles slot, if not move Bray up and put a pick like Trubiski at #3 behind Bray.
Where do you think trubisky is getting drafted?

The Chiefs would need to give up two entire drafts to get Darnold.

That's not happening.

Trubisky?

:-)

Probably a lot higher than he should.

They should consider it. Or, they can continue sucking shit.

Trubisky is going Top Two.

No chance.

11-5, 9-7, 11-5 and 12-4 isn't "sucking shit".

That's dumb as fuck.

So, either the Chiefs strike gold with a later draft choice or with a trade.

They won't be in a position to draft the "best" college QB prospects.

If that's the case, then this really IS a get bent over and raped year to try and take a QB.
The Chiefs should stand pat and suck another year of turds with Alex.

Okay, let me refine that:

"Continue to suck PLAYOFF shit with Alex Smith".

Which, by the way, they won't be returning to. Smith is toast. Done. Finished. I've watched his confidence and skill erode week by week. His body is fading out, and his mind is going to kill him.

You want Trubisky but you think Kizer is shit? You're beyond help.

Kizer and Watson will NOT translate to this league worth a fuck. Mark it down.

They'll win 11-12 games and lose in the Divisional with Smith.

Same ending, different year.

I would be surprised if they won that many games next year.

Tougher schedule and probably won't get the same timely turnovers as this year.

How is the schedule "tougher" when teams haven't begun their annual makeovers?

Plus, Andy Reid outcoaches nearly everyone in the regular season.

Sam Darnold is going 1st overall unless it's a team that drafted a QB high recently. Even then we would have to give up RGIII amounts of stock to get the pick to take him, if not more.

There's a zero % chance of that happening.

They are playing the division winners along with the NFC East. Chargers will be healthy again, too, and we saw what they did against the Chiefs.

It's going to be a hard path, and yes I know the season takes on a life of it's own.

Drew Brees
Tom Brady
Andy Dalton
Derek Carr
Russell Wilson
Dak Prescott
Kirk Cousins

None of these guys were drafted in the first round. Even Teddy Bridgewater (barely 1st rd) and Colin Kaepernick were good QB's.
Not saying to not draft someone in the first rd bc Joe Flacco, Aaron Rodgers and now Ryan Tannehill are good examples of QB's that were "hits".

It shouldn't be "this top 5 guy or nothing".
