That's always the story from teams with great offenses and shitty defenses. You kick ass all year then get to a big game and the offense sputters for a quarter, half, or full game and you lose.
Elite Defense has proven to be much more consistent in the playoffs. In other words, defense wins championships. [Reply]

Lucky for us this isn’t last year. Our defense is far better than people think it is. It just gets overshadowed by our elite offense and the misconception that this is the same defense as last year or even the beginning of this season when they were still learning the scheme. [Reply]
Unfortunately for the Chiefs they have never played a physical team this season. Henry was practically a ballerina on the field. Teams like the Pats and Ravens were ultra finesse and afraid to tackle or be tackled.
I guess the Niners are going to show the Chiefs the true meaning of “physical”. Their RBs are going to go Bo Jackson or Christian Okoye Tecmo Super Bowl on us. Players like Frank Clark and Mathieu will literally bounce off of those elite backs. If someone like Suggs does get ahold of them they will grapple for a second while Jones and Pennell bounce off of them before these backs break free for a 99 yard TD. Their D-Line will give our O-Line the “look” and our O lineman will cower in fear. The offense will go into a shell out of pure fear of the physical Niners. [Reply]

Henry a ballerina? Ravens ultra finesse? Did you even watch football this year? You should write fiction; you seem to have a gift for it. [Reply]

You're going to learn a little about our defense this Sunday. [Reply]
Well, since you're talking about tough and physical defenses... it's worth nothing that Jimmy G had 15 of his 27 TDs against 3 teams - the Bengals, Cardinals and Saints.
Cardinals had the 2nd worst defense regarding passing yards & total passing TDs given up - played them twice. The Saints and Bengals were in the low teens for passing yards and total passing TDs given up.
In 18 games, Jimmy G had 1 or 0 passing TDs in 11 of them. There's definitely a reason the trash talking from the Bay area is all about defense this week. [Reply]
