IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

if that was some other teams GF, we’d be making fun of her on here. Because it’s our saviors GF we blow it off. A strategy in which I whole heartly agree with.

Mahomes walks on water. Those who he loves, we love. Part of the package deal we are more than happy to make.

I’m not sure if Mangini has any aspirations of being a head coach again, but he is certainty doing himself zero favors by sounding like an idiot on this show, especially when speaking about Mahomes.

Bruce Gradkowski on the Cowherd show with a great line while talking about Lamar’s struggles in the passing game:

“You won’t stand a chance of winning in the NFL if your QB drops back to throw 60-70 times, unless your QB’s name is Patrick Mahomes.”

I mean, he does things nobody else can do. And he makes it look trivial. That's our QB. That's who is leading our team against Tennessee.

For basically our entire football lives there has been a debate at the top of the QB food chain. I really only date myself back to 1990 or so as a football fan but there was Montana v. Elway and then Elway v. Young and then from there was the 'next wave' of guys w/ Manning and Brady.

For a flicker it looked like Rodgers may be about to situate himself as clearly a cut above everyone else in raw ability but then Brady kept winning and Rodgers didn't.

If Mahomes gets a title under his belt, there's reason to believe that for a decade the QB hierarchy will be "Mahomes - 50 feet of crap - everyone else..."

Kid's just different. Someone said he's Favre's talent with Rodgers decision-making and I'll be damned if that's not almost exactly right.

Our guy's just better than everyone else. There are solid arguments to make for a bunch of different guys at 2, but our guy is clearly 1 and will be fore the foreseeable future.

I’m guessing Seahawk fans would argue Russell is the best. Poor OL and he doesn’t have 4-5 killer receiving weapons like Mahomes. Russ is clutch as hell and has pretty similar arm talent to Mahomes.

No way. Russ definitely has a better deep ball but as far as pure arm talent is concerned, Mahomes is in a class of his own.

Interesting read. Pat Mahomes is the best QB when trailing:

Patrick has a stronger arm, but Russell is able to do a lot of the same off-platform throws. I think you can see the influence of guys like Rodgers, Wilson, Favre, and Marino in Patrick’s game. He’s sort of a combination of all those guys.

Mahomes is the closest thing to Marino we have seen in the sense that most of these guys did not throw the ball at a phenomenal level until they were closer to age 30. Manning, Brady, Brees, Wilson, Rodgers, Favre, keep going through the list. Marino and Mahomes both showed GOAT level passing ability at age 23. Scary to think what Patrick will be when he reaches age 31 like Wilson. 7 more years to keep polishing his game!
