Is this the one that Sacha Baron Cohen walked away from because they wanted to make a PG-13 movie about Freddie Mercury, and he knew that the story would need an R rating? [Reply]

This is that movie, but I thought his complaint was that the movie was only half about Freddie and half about the how Queen soldiered on after his death. It was a bunch of he said/she said stuff, but I think we can all agree that no one really cares about Queen post-Freddie. I mean, Brian and the boys are great, but the story of Queen starts and stops around Freddie. [Reply]

Yes,what I read was that he thought the movie should have Freddie's death at the 1/2 way point of the film and that the last 1/2 would be about Queen post Freddie.
The only two things I personally can think of relevant after Freddie's death would be the tribute concert at Wembley Stadium and the production of the rock opera We Will Rock You. [Reply]
This is the movie Bryan Singer got fired from because of sexual assault allegations. He filmed about 95% of the movie before another director was brought in. [Reply]

I looked into again. The band had wanted it to be family friendly and not delve into the more adult orientated subject matter. It seems that they did a great job at replacing Cohen. And it should still be a very good film [Reply]
Malek > Cohen. This film will rock . I've never been a fan of that dbag Cohen and find him to be highly overrated as a comedian . Malek is a flat out awesome actor (esp on Mr Robot)
