Probably the most udnerrated defensive prospect that I’ve watched so far. Great range and instincts. He’s just a flat out playmaker from what I’ve seen.

Man, he’s good.
Where will he likely go? Could you get him in the 2nd?
Based on where he’s ranked now, I think so. I fully expect him to “climb up boards”, and by that I mean all the draft gurus will realize they’ve been sleeping on him when they start talking to scouts and front office guys. Most have him as a late 3rd at best right now. [Reply]

But I think they’ll sign Earl Thomas in the offseason
Now that all the escalators and incentives are accounted for the cap is only $25m before any tenders or re-signings, I'm thinking maybe they aren't signing any big free agents any more. [Reply]

Yeah, I'm not sure what to think. I hate to be too bullish on Iowa players but I love Hooker. The guy played LB and CB from the safety spot. They literally put him anywhere on the field they needed him to be and he always performed.
He could play a lot of different roles in an NFL defense and he has ideal size and speed too. [Reply]

I like the idea of a versatile hybrid type player.
Safety still appears to be an undervalued position. With teams incorporating more and more spread concepts on offense having a versitle safety is necessary to have a good defense and I think the biggest hole we had this year. I’d also look at drafting bigger safeties and converting to LB. [Reply]

And then a team will run power at you. See: Patriots vs Chargers [Reply]
