I used to like watching NASCAR up to 3 or 4 years ago. Liked it and Indy starting back in the 60's and 70's. Now I only watch the big ones like Daytona, and probably won't make it high priority to tune in like I have in the past. [Reply]

Give Bubba a lie detector test and if he doesn't want to submit one then oust him from racing.
No. I think he honestly had nothing to do with any of this.
He never even saw the alleged noose. But people have become so obsessed with anything race related they have temporarily lost their damn minds. These people will continue to dig in the dirt around every corner of every block until they find some tiny crumb of racial divide. The vast majority of Americans are good people who judge another person on their character and accomplishments rather than their race. [Reply]

I haven't watched it since the COT.
That ungainly pig of a vehicle made races impossible to watch. Combined with restrictor plates that made signature races little more than 4 hours of monotony followed by 30 seconds of chaos, it just made it impossible to dedicate my Sundays to it.
I hear the new cars are better but you really need a rooting interest to give a shit and I simply don't have one. I liked Dale, Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick and sorta Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman. I liked rooting against Jeff Gordon and anyone else that drove for Hendrick.
There's just not a thing that draws me to it these days. They've neutered most of the interesting personalities so that even if I tried to get back to pulling for Harvick, the personalities just aren't as big as they were. [Reply]

A) I don't believe that.
B) Even if I were to take him at face value, that's a huge indictment in its own right. What the hell is he doing riding the media circuit if he hasn't even bothered to see the alleged 'noose'? Why the crocodile tears if it had such little impact on him that he never said "hey guys - anyone take a picture of that thing?"
Wallace should absolutely come out of this looking like a shitheel. [Reply]

No one had anything to do with this...everyone is chasing racist ghosts at the moment. That said, his behavior was indicative of someone who wanted it to be true rather than actually want to know the truth and that's despicable.
Nascar has been an effing joke for a long time, this is the cherry on top. [Reply]

Which behavior clearly indicated he wanted it to be true? [Reply]

Yes but the reason that people watched is the thing. It is the same reason people watch lots of things. They were wanting to see carnage. They were wanting to see if some "person" with a confederate flag actually tried something. They were wanting to see if another driver would take out Bubba. [Reply]

Pretty much nailed it.....attention whore at best and more a bit of an unbalanced race baiter cashing in on current events. Petty would be wise to eject this guy or send him back to dirt tracks till he grows up. [Reply]
