It was the only play he could make. I mean, you have to keep the clock running there. I mean, I was expecting a dive play from Williams. Again, have to run the clock. Also, every yard he got was more chance to pin them inside the 10 and make it a tougher 1:10 drive for TD.

I think he ran it down to close to the end. Part of the beauty of that is they're a bit flat footed thinking Henne was just trying to draw them offside. [Reply]

Better-ish, especially with the victory.
My lady friend, not so much. I made some stew with pork and brisket I smoked, she ate some, so that's good. The kid is doing fine, so we're holding up.
Kinda like the Chiefs, surviving until next week, at least! [Reply]

The way Pat ran into the locker room when he came out told me all I need to know. Pat will be back next week. I'm more concerned about his toe. [Reply]
Do y'all figure this was a play the Chiefs had in their back pocket for years? 4th and short. Big situation. Everyone thinks you're just trying to draw the other team offsides. And you just know there's no chance they react quickly to Hill coming off the line. [Reply]

The Chiefs have already called that play in a similar position
not necessarily fooling the defense into thinking you aren't snapping it, but I believe that exact play has been called on fourth down before [Reply]
That fourth down call took balls of steel. I was shocked when Henne snapped it. I just assumed we were going to let it run down and call a timeout while trying to draw them offsides. [Reply]
