Just think about this...it was common in the 1800’s for men to work 70 hours per week. Then Henry Ford instituted the 40 hour work week. Thanks Henry! [Reply]

Yeah you think about how much downtime during work people take because of the inability of most to stay focused on tasks for 8 hours a day. I wonder what the average time actually spent working is.
"Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual work.”
"Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately." "Well, I wouldn't exactly say I've been missing it, Bob.”
“I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.” [Reply]
Just think when the AI takes over the world everyone can just kick back and collect their UBI signed by Yang. To think I only missed this by one generation. I actually mostly like working when it's on my own time and place. [Reply]

I mean we can’t tell a lie after all so why not just try to erase it so we won’t have to.
Has there ever been a topic in CP that you don't find something to whine about? [Reply]
