Nzoner's Game Room>Alex Smith suffering serious complications.
Sassy Squatch 09:52 AM 12-06-2018
[Bickel] Hearing from several different people over last few days that Alex Smith is having devastating complications from his broken leg surgery battling infection. Supposedly he's had multiple surgeries to try to combat infection. Chances of him playing again in real jeaopardy.

This fucking sucks.

One storyline to follow for 2019: The #Redskins are planning as if they won’t have QB Alex Smith next season, sources say. They believe he’ll miss the entire season with his broken leg issues and are acting accordingly. If he’s ready, they will be pleasantly surprised.

Too bad. Tough break for a hell of a guy. Wish nothing but the best for you Alex.

AS11 would make one hell of a QB Coach.

but I doubt he'll want the grind.

Broadcast booth would be my guess, ala Romo.

Man, I wouldn't want to follow Romo into the booth.

He wouldn't live up to expectations, and ultimately would have to train his replacement.

He can start off on radio like Trent Green did. I used to listen to Trent and Ian Eagle on the Thursday night games when I worked nights. Trent definitely has come a long way since then.

I've heard lots of radio interviews with Alex, and I don't think he's a media kinda guy. If I were him, I'd take Dan Snyder's money, move back to San Diego and enjoy life. He's earned it.

"Sometimes you have to just take the easy pass and check down"

Alex after every passing play

Yes. He's extremely intelligent so I could see him making a great QB coach eventual OC.
