Crazy. I remember listening to an interview where he said the plan was for him to slim down this offseason.

That was before the change from Sutton to Spags, though.

Some players need to bulk up early because it’s hard to add weight during the season. Especially interior linemen.

After they retire, they lose all that weight and don’t even look the same.

I have a hard time thinking he gained that much weight that quickly without that being the plan for him.

If it wasn’t planned, he lacks any and all self control.

They might think he needs added weight to anchor as a strong side DE and either DT spot.

Almost every front 7 guy they added this offseason seems geared to improve the run defense. They obviously think opposing offenses will consistently try to keepMahomes off the field through self scouting.

I’m hopeful they want Speaks to be bigger to anchor.

I hope that theory isn’t wrong. If it is, that much weight gain in a matter of a few months is very concerning. Especially for Veachs first draft pick...and a guy he traded up for.

What if he's just gaining right now and then shows up cut for camp? Wouldn't that be the ideal situation? If you want to gain you have to eat, you can't just slam fucking protein drinks all day. That only goes so far.

Looks good. He plays football, defensive line. What do you want him to look like? He's always been pudgy, even in college. Makes no difference.
