We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

How is Veach “significantly better” than Dorsey in contracts?
Watkins and Hitchens are his 2 big $ deals and at this point, both are overpays based on production.
Sammy Watkins was the 20th highest paid receiver at $7.8 million last year. That’s not “overpaying” in terms of cap hit.
He’s being paid huge money one time, this year.
If the Chiefs aren’t happy with him, they can easily cut him in 2020 and save $14 million and be completely clean of any dead money the following year.
That’s a great contract and exactly what we should be doing. [Reply]
