Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

But Imma say that the Ogbah acquisition does not bode well for K-Pass...
I’m optimistic that he can turn into a solid player, but I haven’t seen anybody that’s legitimately excited about him.

And i'm pretty sure both of them are capable of 1 sack per month as full time players. It's not impressive. It's not productive. We should be able to get that kind of production from some scrub off the street.
I think Speaks can be decent but Tanoh just seems like he’s done here.

I mean the franchise had this guy as a healthy scratch several times. Just seems like they don’t believe in him, which is sad bc he was a 2nd rd pick

We can only hope that Clark and Reid have seen the error of the shortsightedness of it, and will not repeat the mistake in the future. I believe that incident has a lot to do with why Tyreek Hill is being handled so quietly and without haste.
It's a different situation to be sure, but both situations reside in the same zip code, so to speak.
If nothing else, they should be wary in the future regarding these types of situations because Dorsey straight-up played them like a fiddle in this affair. There's no doubt in my mind that Hunt's first phone call came from Dorsey once the story broke. I also believe he had a hand in getting the tape in to the hands of TMZ for the express purpose of fucking the Chiefs and hopefully acquiring a stud player on the cheap.

So, methinks this Ogbah/Murray trade opens up the potential for the Chiefs to sign Morgan Burnett.......

Upgrade over Murray for sure.

I'm sure they'll sign some sort of vet safety after the draft.

Who is we?

Allen Bailey, Jordy Nelson, Pierre Garcon are all guys the Chiefs have been linked to in free agency. All 30+ years of age.

An upgrade is an upgrade.

He's already better than Ogbah.

Better than Dee Ford's rookie season for sure.

Still like to see a nice safety brought in here.

Tre Boston would be nice. He’s excellent in coverage but misses tackles. He’s a better Ron Parker

it's only been 2 seasons for what was called a 'project' and was clearly out of position.

I doubt he's 'out' before he even has a shot in a 4-3 at his actual position, with a good Dl coach.

Now-is he a gigantic question mark? Sure.

I'm 47 and probably run a 5.5 40 yd dash. I might be a better Ron Parker. At the very least, I'd be a cheaper Ron Parker. So that's something.
