Today.

I told a 28 year old that he needs intubation. He was scared. Couldn’t breathe.

I told the wife of a 47 year old that he is dying over FaceTime.

I bronched a #COVID19 patient who mucous plugged. It saved his life. Risked mine.

Not bad. I'm sure you don't feel great, but obviously watch any type of exertion.

Florida has to go its own way. Mega church has services

This is the clear and present danger ... people continuing to congregate -- squeezing into close quarters like sardines -- and that's exactly what happened Sunday at a Florida Church.

The River Church in Tampa was packed to the gills with worshipers who clearly were looking for hope. Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne, who presides over the megachurch and has been reportedly defiant over social distancing, has claimed he'll cure coronavirus just the way he did with Zika.

He has vowed he will never close his church ... despite every doctor and scientist saying social distancing is the only thing that will prevent the disease from spreading even more.

The Pastor boasted his place was white-glove clean, saying, “We brought in 13 machines that basically kill every virus in the place, and uh, if somebody walks through the door it’s like, it kills everything on them. If they sneeze, it shoots it down at like 100 mph. It'll neutralize it in split seconds. We have the most sterile building in, I don’t know, all of America.”

Howard-Browne said on March 17, "We are not stopping anything. I've got news for you, this church will never close. The only time the church will close is when the Rapture is taking place.”

Yes and no.

There is not enough data to accurately predict the future of COVID-19. You can't trust anything that comes out of China, which these studies were mainly based on, and death rates are misleading and frankly wrong right now. For example, when the West Nile Virus hit the US the death rate was initially at 10% but overtime, it was actually only about 1% because only the severely ill were tested. I bet Italy, which is at 8%, is actually a lot lower than that. In the US, they aren't even testing people that have very mild symptoms or no symptoms at all.

Combine that with the late start for this and the summer right around the corner, there will be time to get ahead of this before the next flu season (or COVID-19 season) next winter. If the clinical trials for the malaria drugs (anti viral) work then there won't be a 2nd season for COVID-19.

I can appreciate the positiveness of everyone but lots of states do not report over the weekends. That is one of the reasons Mondays have had higher numbers.

I'd love to see whats going on in North Korea with a population that's malnourished and a leader that would execute his doctors for allowing the virus to spread.

That country might be done.

Or on the other hand they may have made the virus and already developed a vaccine for their population, but thats highly doubtful.

Kudos to the President for extending the social distancing CDC recommendations till April 30th.

There is no proof that the heat has the affect some had hoped. There is still plenty of spreading happening around the equator.
