Fuck that, even before COVID. Buffets are among the most common sources of food borne illness. Unless it was a high end (think Vegas) buffet you wouldn’t catch me dead eating a buffet for the last 10+ years. [Reply]

I went to a Golden Corrall about 12 years ago... [Reply]

Yeah I’m not sure how much Covid would’ve moved the opinion needle on buffets anyway. I think you’d either be for or against and have formed that opinion long before Covid was a thing. Not sure how many buffet lovers are now out on buffets due to Covid. Personally, I’m with you. I’ll get a Bellagio buffet 1x per year when in Vegas. Otherwise, I’m out. [Reply]
Depends on the condition of the restaurant and the clientele.
I hadn't eaten at a Golden Corral in years, but one night when we were staying in Springfield (Illinois) we stopped at one. It was clean, and the people eating there were clean and well dressed. The food was good.
After that, I decided to try the local one in Aurora. It was dirty and rundown, and packed to the gills with scumbags. We had already paid before seeing how bad it was, so we did go ahead and eat. The food wasn't nearly as good. Never went back. [Reply]
