Just wanted to note that this thread is now on page #666, which means Iron Maiden predicted this way back in 1982.

Carry on.....

Even if he's the best in the field, he's still a human being and we all make mistakes.

Projecting what exponential growth could turn into isnt saying or predicting that many dead, not with the few measures we are putting into place.

That's to illustrate that we have already experienced exponential growth and if that continues, the possibilities, so it is important to take protective measures.

Showing the math of exponential growth is to help people understand why we are taking this seriously to flatten the curve.

They may mean presumably infected not necessarily tested positive.

That probably has to do with the catchup in testing more than anything. It takes a couple weeks to be cleared after testing positive. Testing on a large scale hasn't been going on very long. Expect the number of recovered to jump similar to how the number of cases has jumped with the recent ramp up in testing.

We need to lock down places like NYC and not let anyone in or out for weeks.

So has anyone looked at the numbers to see how much population growth we’re still estimated to have even if there are hundreds of thousands of deaths from this? It’s almost like the universe knows what it is doing.

the recovery number has been growing in chunks lately. And it is because it takes longer to deem someone recovered. It will continue to grow and outpace deaths over the coming weeks.
