Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

You mean like land a QB like Patrick Mahomes?

Right. Never listen to CP when it comes to salary cap they are always wrong.

Here's the 2020 estimated cap numbers. The Rams are STILL better off than the Chiefs.

Sure.

But as we've seen throughout the NFL, even having the unicorn at QB doesn't guarantee really anything in terms of SB success.

They can be found anywhere. Literally.
A schmuck from Toledo took the league by storm in his first year, and an undrafted no-name matched his production, but we want to spend outrageous money on a RB, rather than fix the 31st D.

I mean, they kinda did though. They don't have very many picks in this draft, and they're going to have to pay or trade Goff here pretty quickly.

In the short term it's allowed them to push in this window though.

Since we can't get away from this bullshit.

What about Bell at a 4 year $65 million dollar deal with an out in year 3?

Basically every contract outside of a QB deal is a 2 year and we'll see anyway. It wouldn't hamstring the Chiefs for anything no matter who they sign this year.

What if they add Bell AND Collins?

Veach is a crazy sumbitch. Don't count him out.

Imagine if the Chiefs would do the same with Berry? At least Barron can suit up.

I'm kind of in the mindset that as long as it's the money their spending, not the draft picks or future picks, you can get around it.

As long as you have picks and hit on some guys, you'll survive. You've gotta have the cheap labor.
