Been meaning to start a thread on this for years and never have for some reason. Big fan of both the original (what I've seen/remember of it...) and the rebooted series.
Pretty decent. Has a different feel to it. Looks like I made the right pick by watching Doctor Who and checking n the game during commercials. Same thing with Browncoats Unite. lol [Reply]

It was great, got a little unwieldy at the end but Moffat was showing confidence in his writing. A lot of it was direct fan service in that it addressed a lot of shit everyone complained about: the doctor numbering, how #11 was young because at that point he was lonely and wanted to be accepted, 11/Clara sub-romance, how Peter Capaldi played a different role in the series before and addressed that his face was copied off of that character, etc. It's a LOT more dialogue driven and fast paced than before. I thought having the villain either committing suicide or being pushed off by the Doctor was lame since David Tennant literally killed the villain in the same exact fashion in his very first episode without the implicit pseudo-mystery bullshit. Jenny Flint got a lot of screen time, she's babe :-) [Reply]

You can watch it online, that's where I watch it. Pretty decent quality too. Loved the first episode. Capaldi has great acting chops, should make for a nice 3 seasons. :-) [Reply]
