Thanks!

We won't realize how much this fucked the world economy until we open it back up. I don't see how we avoid a complete depression if there is another 2-3 month round of quarantine.

Food production is drastically reduced, oil companies are at risk of going under, and we're going to lose a ton of small business.

The greatest generation is gone and whatever was left covid is knocking out. Americans are not prepared to survive a depression...

She was horrible. If you take her stance, you need to focus on it being a personal choice & freedoms as a fundamental difference in ideology between Anderson Cooper types. Not the idiotic takes she had.

If that person can be a politician, well I'm convinced just about anyone can.

But hey there’s always good to be found. After they diagnosed me ( almost a year into this) I decided it was going to be too much for me to handle myself and hired a lawyer. She sent a letter inquiring as to his limits because my bills are racking up ( three doctors agreeing independently wasn’t enough) and he just happens to be worth several million dollars and has a million in blanket liability insurance.

So I should come out ok but they are going to try and starve me out first
They always do, if they are pulling that crap, make them pay in the end. Shady bastards. Which insurance company does the guy have that caused the accident?

Looks that way though it won't be much under...but still. I am trying to focus on the new cases numbers at this point. We need to see the downward trend in those continue

It's fucked there's no conceivable way out of it without drastic austerity and removing of regulations.

I was just listening to the governers press conference. Dr. Williams says we have the capacity to do 50,000 tests per week, but that we've seen the number of tests go down due to the criteria for testing people.

They've opened up the criteria some, but he didn't go into detail.

They also mentioned an outbreak in Buchanan County possibly underway because of fucking Triumph Foods. The National Guard is on their way up here with a bunch of tests.

Fuck fuck fuck

Another thing referenced by a reporter was that the Abbott 15 minute test has a false negative rate of about 15%.

Not gonna argue this here, but 'absolute proof' is a long way from the standard for WC claims.

The adjuster may balk every step of the way, particularly if their coffers are bleeding money, . . . but the ALJ and the law have final say, and the procedure to obtain an enforceable award is purposefully much less onerous than a civil case.

It's a tradeoff, though, overall. It's much easier to prove and receive recompense for a work related injury, but the damages are substantially capped relative to civil courts.

I forget the poster who mentioned this the other week but he said those meat packing places have been a breeding ground for COVID
