Washington DC and The Holy Land>Trump suggests delaying November election
Fish 09:33 AM 07-30-2020
:-)

With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 30, 2020

We all know this has nothing to do with the virus. He and his entire base have been screaming hoax for months now.

Now all of a sudden there's concern? Bullshit.

This is about continuing to sell the idea that he can't lose an honest election, and that in any event he loses it MUST be because of election fraud. There's simply no way it's possible he could lose unless it fraud, because America loves him SOOO damn much and he's the greatest president ever. He's been preaching that for 4 years now.

He's instilling fear in his base to drive them to vote to combat the frauds, while simultaneously baking in a excuse in case he loses.

To pretend otherwise after years and years and mountains of tweets saying as much is just pathetic.

The difference is scale. The dirty secret is that margins for in-person voting are generally predominantly so wide that absentee doesn't even merit tabulation.

It's like the difference between McDonalds offering free ice water, and having a McDonalds in a town where there is suddenly no other source for ice or water.

If everyone is doing it, the inherent propensities for fraud and mishandling rises exponentially, both in incidence and importance.

So, Stevie, I'm trying recall, have you made a single substantive response to the actual subject matter of this thread?

I can't recall any.

Is Stevie capable of making any substantive response? Should he be banned???

(Just asking a question.)

And Stevie, you're fucking pathetic.

"He's just asking a question...."

:-)

He wrote a statement and then put a question mark at the end.

Well there seems to be a pretty easy solution to that.

Tabulate them.

No more or less so than the other Constitutional curtailments.

I asked for a qualitative difference, and you simply described the specific curtailment.

A few months ago it was, "HAHAHA Dems are making this up, he would never ask to delay the election"

To now: "What? He's just asking a question!"

You know.....for all the things PB is, at least he has a fucking spine. Ya'll might as well be a bunch of jellyfish. And that's why conservatives hate him so much. Because he's what ya'll pretend to be. Real shit.

Then just to be clear: no, it is not the most narrowly tailored solution available.

Matter of fact, it’s the exact opposite of narrowly tailored. Which is why, even if the President had this power, attempting to do this would almost certainly be struck down.

Citation?

Cognizant that there is a difference between posing the possibility of seeking a delay and cancelling through fiat.

Each individual state could probably delay its election. Regardless, Trump's (and Pence's) term will be over Jan 20. If there's no new president elected, hello President Pelosi (assuming she's re-elected).
