Tell me about it, social distancing in the same room isn’t going to cut it , even if they reduce class sizes , or time in class , our advantage is not having many cases locally , 39 total 38 resolved and no new cases in 3 weeks but that could change quickly.

Wife’s cousin tested positive

Said he was sick one night, now he’s 10 days past it and symptom free so that’s good news

Probably been brought my up already, but why hasn’t there been a “breathalyzer” test developed yet?

Seems if it passes through droplets, there would be an efficient way to test similarly to how they test for alcohol.

If it's possible I'm sure people are working on it. This would be perfect too, because it seems like shedding from the throat is responsible for most of the spread.

I did read something about possible saliva strips.

Missouri reported 935 cases today. Quite a bit lower than days previous. Let's see how it holds up going forward.

They’ve got instant or pretty much instant saliva tests but they aren’t as accurate as pcr

Frankly we should trade accuracy for speed at this point anyway

What's an acceptable accuracy rating in your opinion? I'd say 85% or above and let's roll.

I know national numbers are lower on weekends. Is it the same for Missouri?

That would work especially if you can mass test day after day

80% accuracy with 1 day turn around or less is better than 98% accuracy and 7-14 day turn around times.

CDC putting out a report about the camp in Georgia where a bunch of kids got sick. This is going to stir up the hornets nest.
