Jags not expected to re-sign CB Aaron Colvin
Beat writer Hays Carlyon doesn't expect the Jaguars to be able to re-sign impending free agent CB Aaron Colvin.
Outside CBs Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye get all the love in Jacksonville, but Colvin is one of the best slot corners in the game and is/was a big part of the Jaguars' defense. Per Pro Football Focus, Colvin didn't allow a single touchdown in his coverage, and his 0.76 yards per snap in coverage was third-best among all slot corners. Colvin, 26, is one of the top corners set to hit the market.

I'm okay with this. I was at the game in Denver for Mahomes's debut. Wilson was open on damn near every route he ran. Mahomes found him too. Not sure where he was in Mahomes's progression list, but he found him 10 times for 10 completions. Makes me think he had to be open for Smith too, if you know what I am saying.
Wilson was only on the field for 28 plays that game too.

I dunno, hopefully he takes off but he's always seemed more hyped than substance to me.
I personally can't hold what these guys did with Alex against them.
Conley probably wasn't open enough and never got to play with "let her rip" Alex.
Wilson seemed to have great hands in college, but drops balls now. I always wonder about guys who catch balls velocity better than having to kind of wait on it, and cradle it with soft hands rather than snatch it.
Mahomes first pass to Harris against Denver, I kind of feel like Harris doesn't catch that if Alex threw it. Being a basketball player, he's got to be used to hard fast moving chest passes.
It's all speculation, so I'll wait to reserve judgement.
Right now, Dane has a point. On 20 targets, Wilson walked away with only 9 catches. Then again, with Mahomes, he was aces.
