I can’t say how good he was otherwise as a STer.
And I'm specifically saying the Chiefs downed 4 times as many punts inside the 20 as they let go into the end zone.
Just exactly how many times could he have POSSIBLY botched it?
I reiterate, you're ignoring the times he did his job in favor of remembering the times he didn't. There is no way on this earth that he simply never downed a ball inside the 20. That our primary gunner never once brought the ball in over those 20+ times the team managed it but instead screwed them all up. He had, at most, 3 opportunities to down the ball and muffed them all.
Do you really not recognize the absurdity of your position here? How grossly you have overplayed your hand? [Reply]
In reality if Toub has any say, Kemp is going to stay. Also he's been here awhile and knows the offense when you can probably just put a guy like Thompson on your PS.
A bigger issue may be if they want to keep Tremon Smith for specials, if that happens then it gets way more murky. [Reply]

Maybe you’re right, but I honestly can’t remember one time that he made a good play as a gunner (doesn’t seem like anybody can), while I remember him failing miserably 3 times.
I don’t think what I’m saying is absurd though because there are other posters that I respect that felt the same way. Neither of us are prone to overreactions either. [Reply]

Demarcus Robinson still isn't getting open because of his route running ability. If Chiefs WRs were getting open because of good routes before the protection broke down, maybe Mahomes wouldn't have to take off to avoid the rush so much. So far, it looks like both Hardman and Thompson are getting open due to their route running ability more often than Robinson. [Reply]
