We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

No.

If you cut him now and don't designate him, you take $15M in dead money this year, $8M next year, and $4M in year 3.

If you designate him June 1st, you take $7M in dead money this year, and $4M in each of the next 2 years.

It's a pretty significant savings to designate him.

He can be cut now and DESIGNATED as a June 1st cut, which applies the post-June 1st rules to the salary cap even though he was cut in March.

The #Packers were repoeredly in the mix to trade for #Chiefs franchise tagged LB/DE Dee Ford but instead are going with two pass-rushing Smith's in free-agency.

Big boost for the defense.

I was just making an observation about the market.

Those guys are all relatively cheap, and scraping together 4.5 million to sign what?
