That said, I'm a huge Kings fan but I'd totally be on board with whatever team would move to KC.
Teams with bad situations? Arizona, Carolina, ?
Is Carolina really in a bad situation with money? Their fan base is actually pretty supportive. I also don't think the NHL ever wants to give up on southern teams. Attendance-wise Florida and Arizona are not great. Perhaps Florida could use a move to Miami or something. IDK.
For selfish reasons the Islanders moving to KC would be cool because it would be fun for KC but more important to me would be one less team to compete with for the Devils. There are 4 hockey teams in one area here counting Philly and thats not even counting the 3 football teams, 3 basketball teams, and 3 baseball teams. Oh and now 3 soccer teams. [Reply]

The new Cane's Owner has made it clear that he's keeping the team in Carolina. They've got a pretty good roster on paper, I think they just need to start winning to get some butts back in the seats.
I still don't quite understand why the NHL is so hell bent on keeping the Coyotes in Arizona. In 2009 the Coyotes owner filed for bankruptcy, and agreed to sell the team to Blackberry's Jim Balsillie for $212.5 million. Balsillie wanted to move the team to Hamilton, but the NHL balked. The NHL has put a lot of money into keeping the Coyotes in that market. [Reply]

I really wanted to see a Lightning/ Panthers 1st round match-up. Too bad Tampa's shitting the bed now and has dropped behind Boston.
Luongo's turning 39 and is signed until 2022. They might want to do something about that. As a Leafs fan, Reimer's probably not the answer, (too streaky). [Reply]
Looks like it's likely gonna come down to a one-game playoff between the Blues and Avs this Saturday. I've got tickets, so it should be a fun atmosphere. :-) [Reply]
Wild clinched a playoff spot last night, but lost Suter for season over the weekend, which hurts. Looking to face the Jets, which isn't a great matchup for the Wild. Would be nice to finally see the Wild advance in the playoffs, but not holding my breath. [Reply]

If it comes to that game, we'll miss the playoffs.
Hopefully we can beat Chicago tomorrow night, and have SJ beat you guys Thursday. Would put the Blues in position to clinch a spot on Friday night in Chicago.
Of course, the Blues will likely find a way to fuck it up. [Reply]

It's a funny situation where both teams control their own destiny. I think the big question to me is whether the Blues can beat Chicago twice. My prediction is that the Blues go 1-1 against Chicago, the Avs lose to the Sharks, and the Blues come into Denver up by a point. Winner take all. [Reply]
