Time to give it its own thread...

I'm almost glad in a way they killed off Barry's dad. It made ZERO sense that he left town immediately after being released from prison. WUT?

They obviously had no idea what to do with the character. Then they brought him back just so Zoom could kill him. He was actually getting pretty annoying the way he second guessed everything Barry did. He was much more interesting when he was stuck in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

I hope so...she is now e1 I'd love for the writers to be smart and put her on Arrow

Yeah, I never understood why he simply left after getting out of prison. Evidently didn't feel the need to make up for lost time.

Okay. So my kids and I are watching the show, and we really like it. That being said... and I realize this is an idiotic nit to pick with a superhero show: but it really bothers me how The Flash and other speedsters can basically appear and disappear and do all kinds of stuff without people even noticing. I mean, if someone moved away from you at 600 mph, you'd notice that they'd done so. Of special annoyance is when the Flash does something like make coffees for everyone in line at the coffee shop, and they just suddenly look down and are shocked that they have coffees in their hands. That's not speedsterism... that's stopping the time continuum, moving within it, then restarting time.... that being said... he does do time continuum stuff, so maybe that's actually what is happening.

I know this show is heavy comic and requires a willing suspension of disbelief, but I do like my super powers to be somewhat logically consistent.

If they were logically consistent then they wouldn't be super.

Will Barry go back in time to save his father? He's been over confident since he got his powers back so maybe he'll think everything will be fine if he changes time but in the end it makes someone else die instead, like Wally.

They also pick and choose. Sometimes when he moves off there's a big WHOOSH and a vacuum and things moving (realistic). Other times he just... goes (unrealistic). Pretty sure if a 150-ish pound object suddenly sped away at hundreds of miles per hour you would feel and hear it and the effect it would have.

Why doesn't The Flash just trip Zoom or making him slip on a banana peel?

Talk about road rash or busted ass at that speed.

I don't think Barry goes back in time. Also zoom is just a sick, sick man.

Okay finale.

Teddy Sears was not very threatening as zoom. Losing Tony Todd's eerie presence every time he had the mask off weakened the character. Not just an issue today...

I thought the end to the race was underwhelming.

The team trying to stop zoom without Barry was monumentally stupid. I hate when writers rooms set up stuff like that that's so obviously going to fail.

Jay Garrick was set up a little too on the nose, but I was okay with that.

But that ending was great. As obvious as it should have been I did not see it coming until he whispered his apology to Iris for what he was about to do. It's like hitting a reset button for the whole series, which should set up an interesting first half of season 3.

Liked the finale but is Barry doing Flashpoint? It sure seems like it....

That's certainly one direction they can go, although it seems premature. Our established universe of heroes right now consists of Barry, Oliver, Kara (and her cousin who we'll never see) Atom, Firestorm and White Canary, along with their teams of normies. Not really many people to **** up. Maybe enough to help him fix what he's broken.

But I think practically speaking they can really only disrupt things on a personal level for Barry right now, rather than a universal scale, simply because the tv universe is still so small....

I thought maybe after next season of Legends they could head toward something that big, assuming we see more of the Justice Society.

But who knows, it's certainly possible they're doing it.

Interesting tweet....
@ThatKevinSmith: And the Flashpoint Paradox has begun! Great close to @CW_TheFlash Season 2! Reveal of the man in the iron mask was just warm and wonderful.

My thing us they go all in on flashpoint they could fix Arrow with this...seems possible. Hoping for a low rating finale fir Arrow.
Bring back Black Canary...get rid of this Felicity mama bs. Here is hoping Guggenheim and Wendy are moved.
