I have diaries for the last 15 years for work and I always put down in them when I find mushrooms.. Still a bit early in the Northland (Liberty area). Usually start finding groups of them around the 15th.. Think it may be a late year because the woods don't look quite right yet.. I'm thinking the 20th will be prime... [Reply]
I'm gonna hunt this weekend. I'll report back. Know they're popping south and southwest of KC, and will hunt public. Gonna wait another week or two to get up to Savannah and hunt family ground.
I must have walked 20 miles of public land and got so little to show for it last year. And walked about 5 more on family ground to find a decent mess. This year is gonna be great though. Best time of year!
Just need to find a good haul and catch a ton of crappie and eat like a king. [Reply]
Nothing yet in my normal hot spots. But there's supposed to be a good hard rain tomorrow. And the redbud trees are fully in bloom over the last 2 days. The morels are generally quick to follow... [Reply]
