Fantasy/CasinoPlanet>CP $100 Fantasy Football League (Update to other thread with rules in thread starter)
doomy3 08:03 AM 07-23-2010
Alright guys, here is a new thread for the CP $100 Fantasy Football League. The settings are listed below.

Buy-In will be $100 and will be due 1 week before the draft. Please get your payments in earlier than that though, so we can have the draft order generated. I will not have draft order generated before everyone has paid. We will be using Paypal for payments. I have sent payment instructions out to everyone, so please start getting this paid. If you need the instructions again, please let me know.

As soon as everyone has paid, we will have a draft order generated by using a random order generator online (we used one of these last year, and it worked great). Everyone's emails are entered into the system, and everyone receives the email with the draft order direct from the website, so it is fair to everyone.

I will allow the trading of draft picks as well, and ESPN is set up for such.

Now, please send me some entry fees, and let's get this going.

This looks like what I'd expect from a ladies league, not a Benjamin Men's league.

I said more than likely out for the season. Even if it is 4-6 weeks, what impact will he have-proabably zero. I don't fault Doomy or BCD for coming out ahead on trades, it takes the other person to accept it to make it final..

Well, this will be my last reply to you because I don't want you to successfully turn this thread into a thread about you like every other thread you post in.

I in no way "put one over on anyone" in this deal. It was a deal we both liked and as people who posted in the thread BCD started in Casino Planet about it, I probably got the better end, but it wasn't lopsided. He wanted Best. You have to pay for a guy like Best. We both liked the deal when it was made, and it wasn't until he read the comments from people like BCD on this board that he changed his tune.

It isn't a "real asshole move" to make a deal to make your team stronger in a fantasy football league. It's not like I traded the guy a RB who is out for at least 6 weeks.

Also in my defense I didn't email him back and worth and sale this dude on the trade. He made the first offer and I countered with what turned out to be the final deal. I then saw Portis was going to be out a bit and canceled it a few seconds after I sent the offer and added Kuhn with Portis and Marshall so he would have another RB while Portis was out. He turned down that offer and came back with the same deal only removing Kuhn from the mix. I just assumed people read up on the players they are trading for.

Hey, good deal. I can't imagine he knew Portis would be out 6+, but more power to you.

Half of fucking trading someone is selling the trade.

You people act like fucking trading in fantasy sports is a charity. You trade to better your team.

No joke. These are the strangest posts I've ever seen when it comes to fantasy football.

In all fairness to BCD my brother was the one who proposed the Colston & Bradshaw for Marshall & Portis. My bro really wanted Marshall. Portis was just meant to be a filler really. Nothing special. If he comes back healthy at some point this season great. If not no biggie as far as my bro is concerned. He wanted Marshall badly at this point and to his credit he went out and got him. Did he give up entirely too much as it seems? Sure he did but that was a risk he was willing to take. Also for the record yes there was some slight speculation that portis might be out for the rest of the season but I saw it earlier today on sportscenter surgery isn't needed for his injury. Which I take it is a good sign and might hint at him being back in about 6 weeks.

You all are too funny just bitching back and forth to eachother about who screwed over who and who got the better deal. On paper sure maybe one of you did come out on top, but that's why they play games. To settle it all out on the field not on paper. Unfortunately paper doesn't always hold up. If it did my record would probably be better than it is at this juncture. Having said this you both agreed to the trade, so it's a moot point really. Move along now nothing to see here. :-)

Oh trust me my bro knew. I informed him of such matters before he even officially proposed the trade so he knew what he was getting himself into. I tried to warn him that in my honest opinion he was giving up entirey too much. I even suggested he maybe throw in a different back instead of Bradshaw. For some reason he thought the only BCD was going to accept is if he made it more than enticing for him I suppose. Not much he can do now except wish for the best and see if it all pans out like he had hoped.

I don't understand it. I've never seen a trade in FF where I offered it to the guy and he just agreed with it and accepted it. Trading takes time because each team is trying to screw the other team out of better players.

If I would've known the league was like this....I would've dropped the $100 and played.

I wouldn't say the entire league is like this. I'm certainly not. My bro though seemed content in giving up too much to make sure he got the receiver he wanted. Time will tell if he benefits in a positive manner from this trade or a negative one.

Hey....I'm not calling out your brother. He knew who he wanted and he went out and got him. I commend him for the balls that it takes to do that.

My problem is with the people out there that want everything and are willing to give up nothing to get them.

Ya it took time for us and I caved at 5:20. I'm man enough to accept it and move on. Was I last week? No, because I was already having bad week and let my guard down during negotiation. Can I redo the trade now?? No I can't, but what I can do is make the damn best of it and move on. Who knows in week one or two in playoffs a player could go down during the week on Doomy team during the game.

I apologize for getting off topic but have to say something.

In the baseball league I'm the one who initiated the deal to Doomy that got vetoed. At the time I needed one more closer to help win the Saves & a SP for Win categories. Also OPS w/ Loney. I wasn't worried about the K's or HR's I would give up cause I had guys' who were producing. I also gave up on the Saves & stolen bases & worked on producing in the other areas.

The other managers thumped their chest cause they said they saved me from myself.

But yet I fell to last place & had to kick & scratch to even make the playoffs. I must say, having Bautista helped immensely.

Thanks for posting that, Mike. I wasn't going to mention it because it isn't worth getting into arguments with guys like Hootie.
