Nzoner's Game Room>*****Official 2024 Royals Season Repository Thread*****
ChiefsCountry 11:36 AM 01-01-2024

Year Two of the Matt Quatraro tenure. Time to take a step up this year. Active in free agency and trades this offseason. A new look pitching rotation and bullpen. Will the young players take the leap up offensively? Bobby Witt extension? New stadium? Will Vinny recover from injury? Salvy taking aim at the Royals record book? Will Cole Ragans turn into the best Royals starting pitcher since Greinke 1.0?

Free Agents/Trades Acquisitions
Seth Lugo, SP
Michael Wacha, SP
Kyle Wright, SP
Hunter Renfroe, OF/DH
Will Smith, RP
Chris Stratton, RP
Nick Anderson, RP
Adam Frazier, 2B
Garrett Hampson, INF/OF
Matt Sauer, RP

This is a terrible place to put it. They'll literally be killing the cultural heart of the city. A thriving entertainment district full of great restaurants, music venues, and it all happened organically.

So let's just destroy it.

When you literally have to drive everywhere to get anywhere in the city it’s a legit concern

I appreciate the aggressiveness of the plan though

It’s what KC could use

Forward thinking

Is there any proof of this thought that P&L is a huge failure in the current times? I was there before a Nate Bargatze show last week and every place was packed to the brim. I could not sit down anywhere. When I was a young man...always packed. Serving overpriced drinks and always busy. How it could be a black hole for money I dont quite get

They will make some park and ride street car stuff and extend distance of Street Car. Bank on it.

Chiefs to The Woodlands. They aren't going to be satisfied sitting on that island of nothingness.

I'm hoping that will be a "surprise" addition to the new renderings, instead of the generic rectangle video board that is currently there. Otherwise, these are the best renderings I've seen so far. I think it'll take a good ten years for the area to really get adjusted to it, but I this is pretty great and will encourage a lot of people to spend their day and evening downtown taking in a nice walk, some shopping, sites, eating/drinking and a ballgame.

It seems like the main goal with these renderings is to show how the stadium will be situated in the downtown area because the actual stadium features… especially inside the stadium… look very generic/architectural clip-art-like.

Also using the name “Royals Park” in the renderings… it’s not going to be called Kauffman Stadium?

Just get Mahomes to record a personal message asking voters to vote yes… easy win.

This is going to be awesome!!! Can’t wait! 💪🏽 https://t.co/7NYQrbASQt

I assume they'll move the parade tomorrow to a more parking friendly part of town right? Where else would several hundred thousand people park?

On the highway. Side streets. In people’s yards. 5 to ten miles away

The City isn't going to run busses every game day for baseball and certainly not free all over the metro. The Parade is a one day deal and the last two have been nightmares getting to and getting out.

Parking is not sexy when introducing your vision for the area. I imagine there is a plan it just wasn't mentioned and it will put more businesses out and historic bldgs will be raised.
